about 50 flowers with stems on the whole dress. To make it clean, neat and
pretty the colour must be added scarcely. Out of the fifty you can only colour
about 20 on the skirt including front and back and the upper body should remain
plain white. By colouring the stems of the flowers green and the flower itself
red, the combination of bright red and green on white will look exceedingly
gorgeous.
Another combination is light green stems and light pink flowers for a
more toned down look. Likewise if your dress only has flowers embroidered, you
can colour some light pink and some light yellow to enhance its appearance.
Experiment with colours on your own in your free time and come up with a
combination or a single colour which you like or something that holds special
meaning to you.
The second way to go about it is
to dye the whole dress in another colour. The colours that will look best are
pastels. A suggestion perhaps? Try doing a light beige nude if you do not want
to experiment too much or do not want to be too out there. The gossip mongers
will be out for your blood once you decide to deviate from tradition so you
could either play it safe by doing a light colour or go completely haywire and
go with a dark blue, maroon, green or just black. In pastels, light pink,
mauve, yellow and nude look the best with light jewellery and natural hair.
